We have some students here helping with a project that runs out in a few weeks. We have tried installing and Feisty and Gutsy, but have run into problems with both.
Feisty: Printing doesn't work on the client Gutsy: SMBLDAP doesn't work Not sure about the printing. Both of these are show stoppers. I would prefer to go with Gutsy, but we definitely need both printing and SMBldap working. PRINTING DETAILS I get a "network host is busy" message from CUPS. Has the syntax changed from Ltsp 4.2? It used to be: PRINTER_0_TYPE=/dev/usb/lp0 Here is my lts.conf file. [default] SOUND=True LOCALDEV=True NBD_SWAP=True SYSLOG=server [00:50:8b:49:72:dc] #[ws043] SOUND=True LOCALDEV=True NBD_SWAP=True SYSLOG=server PRINTER_0_DEVICE=U PRINTER_0_TYPE=/dev/usblp0 The printer is plugged in and the ip address / mac addresses are right. I know this because it works when I boot the client from K12LTSP6 and print from edubuntu's CUPS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
