Hi again. My student hack my server. I see when he do it. He open a console in the client. He run a program that he copy in the desktop (this program is in internet, is a bug for the kernel of the clients) and then he enter my server like root. This is more dangerous. He can do anything in my server.
Thanks. ----- Original Message ---- From: Robert Arkiletian <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, August 15, 2008 11:27:23 AM Subject: Re: [Ltsp-discuss] custom kernel for LTP-42 On Thu, Aug 14, 2008 at 3:02 PM, mario salcedo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Also a student say me that kernel 2.6.17.8-ltsp-1 has a bug. So he cannot hack it due to a bug in that kernel. ask the student to show you how he can hack it. I bet he cannot. btw if he gets root on the client it's not a big deal since the nfs client filesystem is exported read only. -- Robert Arkiletian Eric Hamber Secondary, Vancouver, Canada Fl_TeacherTool http://www3.telus.net/public/robark/Fl_TeacherTool/ C++ GUI tutorial http://www3.telus.net/public/robark/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
