Hello all, We have a few new Acer Veriton L460 Mini-PCs as LTSP client machines. These came with 160 Gb disks, which of course for LTSP use are redundant. I'd like to remove them and perhaps allocate them as storage to a server, but If I open the boxes we void the warranty. If they are to be idle at least it would make more sense to not have them waste power and add to overall noise. I'd like to power off these, but have not familiarized myself with power management, let alone for LTSP. Searching Google and the ltsp-discuss archives did not offer much information.
Question is: how do I power off harddisks for these two thin clients only? (It would not hurt either to know how to power manage things like monitors..) Greatful for all helpful pieces of information such as pointers to what to read on the subject, -- Anton ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
