Hi
my ltsp5 server is running on ubuntu 8.10 and im trying to connect a
client that has an nvidia graphics chip. without making any changes the
client boots and displays fine except that it only has 640x480 and
800x600 available. xrandr only shows those 2 resolutions.
i figure i need the nvidia drivers installed on the ltsp chroot but im
having issues.
when installing nvidia-glx-177 it gives an error about wrong kernel
headers:
Doing initial module build
Error! Your kernel source for kernel 2.6.27-11-generic cannot be
found at
/lib/modules/2.6.27-11-generic/build
or /lib/modules/2.6.27-11-generic/source.
Installing initial module
Error! The directory /lib/modules/2.6.27-11-generic doesn't
exist.
You cannot install a module onto a non-existant kernel.
my /lib/modules only has 2.6.27-7-generic in it. but uname -r returns
2.6.27-11-generic.
# apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package linux-headers-2.6.27-11-generic
im confused, can anyone help?
