hi all im having some problems with local devices, in particular usb drives.
ive dropped out to a console screen on the thin client, and having created a root passwd on the chroot have logged in using that. lsusb shows the flash disk mass storage device. fdisk -l shows me a device at /dev/sdb1. my user account is in fuse. but the drive doesnt appear when logged on to the ltsp server. ive gone through https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebugLocalDev, not sure if its all still relevant. my usb drive is FAT32, the notes suggest FAT32 is ok but FAT is not, yes?? the only items that dont look good on that page is lsmod | grep fuse, nothing shows up for me (all the fuse packages are installed however on the server) and the other item is the last bit "ssh -X -S ...", I get an Authentication failed error. even though im running that command from root command prompt on the thin client. any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Next 800 Companies to Lead America's Growth: New Video Whitepaper David G.
