Hi,

I have installed another ubuntu 10.04 alternate as LTSP-server in our
school.
Before, I worked with KDE and I know how to use kiosk to make
backgroundimage fix and other stuff like that.

Now the 2 LTSP rooms use gnome and I want only a couple of things
disabled on that desctop, so not a complete kiosk solution

1) I want all resolutions fixed to 1024x768. I have created an lts.conf
in /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/
and added

[default]
    X_MODE_0 = 1027x768

to it, but still the useres can change the resolution. This causes a
blackscreen, cause our old thinclients with their 15' monitors can't
handle that resolution

2) I want the background image to be fixed and unchangeable by our
students

3) No changement of skins allowed for the user

Can I use Pessulus/Sabayon for that or does this not work with the ltsp
version??

any other tipps or ideas how I can solve this??

Thanks a lot from belgium,

Sascha
