Thanks for your reply. I do run the 64 bit image on the server and have 64 bit clients. It seemed easy to just run them in 64 bit mode, except for the fact that some things are broken like local usb. I do run local apps (firefox, java, acroread, flash) and they run just fine under the Ubuntu Lucid 64 bit image. I appreciate your response. Sounds like using 64 bit client images is still a bit dicey, and furthermore there is no advantage in terms of user experience. Thanks!
