I am using ltsp 4.2 and are happy with it. Do not want to upgrade to ltsp5.
Found in this address
http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=4096

a kernel for clients that is awared of more than one processor which i
assume it will make clients work faster.
the same as the stock LTSP 4.2 kernel except it has 4-core SMP support
and it requires a P3 minimum."

I downloaded it and unzip it. if i go to /tftpboot/lts/ on my server i see
that there are 3 folders, one for each kernel and also there are files named
vmlinuz-kernel name. This file was not included on the
2.6.17.8-ltsp-p3-smp.zip.<http://splicedcollective.org/software/2.6.17.8-ltsp-p3-smp.zip>

What is the advantage of having a kernel "smp".
Could this kernel usefeull even if it lacks of the vmlinuz file?
If not, how or where can i obtain the vmlinuz file?

Thanks
