If you saw Don Dirks' follow-up to this, you'll know that my advice did
not solve his problem. He eventually figured out on his own that his
problem was related to Compiz, which he uninstalled as the solution for
his purposes.
I had answered him without remembering the details of what I had
encountered, but for the record, my notes on that:
Under Lubuntu 12.04 LTSP, I found that creating a new user and then
trying to login as that user on the client caused a boot loop.
Solution: Login as the new user once on the server before trying to do
that on the client.

I've not heard of this before and have never had to do it on ltsp on
Ubuntu 10.04 or Ubuntu 12.04. What does this do? Is it Edubuntu specific?
Thanks.

If you haven't done it already, try logging in once as each of the
new users *on the server* before you try logging in on the
client. It needs to do some one-time initialization.

I have installed Edubuntu 12.04 with LTSP_French version_ on my
Server. Everything loaded and worked like clockwork even to
connecting to the Thin Clients as Administrator. But then when I
create new user(s) on the Server and try to log on as that new
user at the Thin Clients I get unstable graphics: split screen
into 3 boxes and it flashes on and off (not consistently).
Though the icon bar on far left appears and holds.
Please can anyone give me a solution? Any ideas or something I
can try....
Thanks
