While it may be technically possible to use the XDMCP protocol, the default on LTSP 5 (LTSP releases since around 2005/2006) has been to use LDM instead, and many features (sound, localdev, localapps) won't likely work when using XDMCP without a lot of manual configuration, if they work at all.
