The office is already using Firefox / TBird (and chrome) and has been
for several years. I use Open Office and I'm happy so far. I haven't
really tried to do anything complicated with it yet. One option I was
considering was to run MS Office on a Windows terminal server and run
the applications via RDP in seamless mode. However, it might be better
to just get the users to try Open Office

I setup a server (Ubuntu 9.10) and installed LTSP, all I

I like the idea of introducing LTSP gradually and then virtualising the
XP machine "for occasional use"

Since I'm keen to have fat clients only to start, am I right in saying
that the LTSP server can be a bit more modest since it essentially just
becomes a file server?

Thanks again, I'd love to hear more and from others,

Norrie
