Yep, this is a know problem, documented in lualatex-doc (section \jobname, page
12) for example, and already discussed here:
http://tug.org/pipermail/luatex/2010-August/001986.html
This means lualatexquotejobname has to be removed from the format,
Which means stop supporting spaces in file names.
Tough call: both '\input ..' and file names with spaces are a
'bad idea' in my (not all that humble) opinion.
