0. Aim: make Rocks available in a Linux distro (ALTLinux for the moment)

        Hello, again.
During this work I've got an idea of pros and cons of LuaRocks. Some things I'd like to share:

1. LuaRocks is not noarch as it seems.
In particular, luarocks/config.lua contains some cache info on the current system.
If someone is interested, he could fix this flaw.
2. luarocks make --to=<tree> : don't understand what it is made for.
I supposed it functions as kind of DESTDIR. But it has 2 flaws for that purpose:
   a. it ignores system rocks manifest
   b. install = { bin = {} } carries the tree path.

I've done some distro-specific changes/patches too, but not sure those are relevant.

Regards,
