Yes, often it's quite pointless and would effectively double your work load ;). I've found my opinion changing (fair to say that it is an 'unstable' opinion) - good to get off-line docs, everything packaged nicely, but then if there's a reasonable online option (plus release files) then why not just ship the relevant stuff?
