(I promise to stop over-posting soon ;)) This is the latest Windows installer, which comes with curl.exe. However (XP SP3) curl fails with LIBEAY32.dll not being found, which come from the OpenSSL library.
Even if curl did work, then we still crash because (luarocks.fs.win32.tools.download) is still just using our old friend wget - unlike the more general luarocks.fs.unix.tools.download. In conclusion, the whole thing could only work by accident, i.e. if wget were silently around.
