Yes, these advertisings are annoying. Why sourceforge, anyway? It's not like luarocks is really closely related to sourceforge if I'm not mistaken, and there are lots of other free mailing list providers for open source projects. While I'm not yet sure whether I like lamson, there's librelist[1] as an example for one such provider. Also the pepperfish.net folks who host the lua-l list might allow you to host your lists there.. You'd probably just have to ask :^) Also, I noticed that [3] still links to luaforge.
