Hello all,

is there a callback for image loading (reading)?

I use

img.scan{filename = "some filename" }

which (if I understand it correctly) calls find_image_file (with kpathsea
disabled) but no reader callback.

Why I am asking: I have an image caching mechanism for images got via http(s)
and I'd like to serve these images from memory.
no, because luatex parses the image (random access) and buffering huge bitmaps is not really an option

what i do in such case i cache on disk
