We just set up a SAMBA Share and use dreamweaver ...Which is fine if your on
a local network interface

Is there a reason why you can't use sftp?
sftp [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and then use *most* ftp commands...
Then you don't have to open up port21 for ftp at all.
