The topics will be: The New UH Cinematic & Digital Arts program by Chris Lee Chris Lee was the former President of Production for TriStar Pictures and Columbia Pictures. He worked on Academy Award-winning films such as "Jerry Maguire," "Philadelphia" and "As Good as it Gets." Lee has also worked on films such as "My Best Friend's Wedding," "The Mask of Zorro" and "The Patriot." In addition, Lee also produced the computer animated movie "Final Fantasy," which was being created in Hawai'i for five years. and The Making of ``Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within'' by Kaveh Kardan Five years in the making, this movie was the first feature length project to attempt to achieve a photorealistic look and create realistic human characters. The presentation will cover the technical and production challenges encountered over the course of the project. Kaveh Kardan graduated from MIT with a B.Sc. in Mathematics in 1985, and has been a software developer in the computer graphics industry ever since, having worked at NeoVisuals, Softimage, and Systeme Taarna.
