This is a Linux hardware consumer advisory. The "CompUSA Optical USB Notebook Mouse" looks cute with its small size, USB interface and mouse wheel, but it violates USB specifications and is currently inoperative in Linux as a result. Read the above Bugzilla report for technical details. If anyone is connected to CompUSA, please encourage management to pull this defective hardware and fix it with a revision.
