Sure, they are mirrored from the other servers. There are LOADS of key servers, just that everyone seems hell bent to using one then wondering why they get timeouts. I think its comical. The keys are added so that you know the packages are from the maintainers repo. They are used to decrypt the data (as far as I am aware), so a key is a key, as long as the data is decrypted it is ok..
