Hi, I evaluated lightdm the last few days, and here is the situation : - it crashes on upgrade, make the desktop unusable - I was not able to test it on daily build (daily was broken until yesterday), it means I can guaranty it's working correctly. - LXDE greeter for lightdm was not tested - The theme is not finished
It appears that I'm not sure we will be able to deliver a good experience with lightdm for the 11.10 release. Because of this, I propose to keep LXDM for 11.10. I'm confident that we will be ready for 12.04, but I consider it's too risky for the 11.10.
