For Precise, we have several work items (15, according to https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/other-lubuntu-p-optimizations ) that are related to killing gconf and glade.
I'd like to look at what this takes and why we are doing it; was there a general Ubuntu-wide blueprint defining why they are being killed/deprecated, and what the desired/expected way to replace them is?
