Hi, fantastic result, A1 arrived!
The A1 preperation and release cycle was also an alpha test for bringing the iso-tracker more to the front of things. Some things worked well, some did not. Amongst minor bugs seem to be that an iso can be passed at 100% and then a day later a respin occurs with no information to the testers (you good people) as to why. So you do not know what has changed & why. This is going to be looked into for A2, so please do not feel frustration at not knowing why respins are happening. It was for this reason I asked and you were granted access to the pad [1] Until there is a system in place to notify, all respins and reasons for them are stored there. All that will happen is that the information from there will be available via the iso-tracker. As with all things, it is on the "Wish List" but pulling people off release duties to do that has to be weighed up. The restarting of Dailies following a milestone release. QA have seen it live today, the dailies were out of date. This, again, is something that will be looked into; there is little point restarting Dailies that are pre mile-stone release. Pointing people via the Tech Notes to download areas instead of iso-tracker. This will be a discussion (yes, we do have them on QA .. frequently!!!), as to what the Pros and Cons are for the current notes linking to areas to down load from & a proposed that they link back to iso-tracker. Those are things for discussion. You good people have, as always, done a fantastic job & it is still a privilege to be your liasion guy. KEEP CALM & CARRY ON :) Regards, Phill. 1. http://pad.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-release On 7 June 2012 23:10, Greg Faith <[email protected]> wrote: > On Thu, Jun 7, 2012 at 3:49 PM, Greg Faith <[email protected]> wrote: > > I am going to finish the amd64 alternate spins before I hit the > > dailies again.
