What about the menu structure, it's possible to take advantage from that. For example:
Graphics ..... Editor (mtpaint) ..... Viewer (viewnior) or ..... mtPaint (Editor) ..... Viewnior (Viewer) Some menu could have subdivisions: Office ..... Text .......... Libreoffice Writer .......... Abiword ..... Spreadsheet .......... Libreoffice Calc .......... Gnumeric ..... Viewer .......... Evince ..... Others .......... Libreoffice Base .......... pdfsam .......... gLabels 2013/9/21 Nio Wiklund <nio.wikl...@gmail.com> > On 2013-09-21 05:41, Jonathan Marsden wrote: > ... > > > > If you want to argue for something more like: > > > > Graphics Editor (mtpaint) > > > > that's fine, at least it still includes the program name and so is > > distinguishable from (for example): > > > > Graphics Editor (gimp) > > > > One issue I see here is that, as I currently understand it, these labels > > are in files currently installed as part of each package, so to change > > them, you would want to persuade each package maintainer to make that > > change... which is a LOT of work!
