What about the menu structure, it's possible to take advantage from that.
For example:

Graphics
..... Editor (mtpaint)
..... Viewer (viewnior)
or
..... mtPaint (Editor)
..... Viewnior (Viewer)

Some menu could have subdivisions:

Office
..... Text
.......... Libreoffice Writer
.......... Abiword
..... Spreadsheet
.......... Libreoffice Calc
.......... Gnumeric
..... Viewer
.......... Evince
..... Others
.......... Libreoffice Base
.......... pdfsam
.......... gLabels
