I have no problems with malware on Linux. I'm using ubuntu like systems since 8.04. At the beggining I had dual boot. Since I met VirtualBox, I use it for testing and also running MS-Windows Only software...
In VBox I can run XP, Windows Server 03, 08, Win7... If you have enough hardware, it's ok! Basic Knowledge about security is mandatory, in any OS.
