Gents: Appreciate the reply, yes, my whole reason for being here is because of having PPC ***complications**** . . . but, yeah, not looking for "difficult," although somebody at some point gave me the precise commands to run so that I could recompile the "nv" driver for my iMac . . . that was a little involved for my skillset at the time, but, they spelled it all out . . . and I and my terminal ran them and got it done. A few months later the iMac started its paroxysms of kernel panics . . . and, more or less done by now.
But, this JWM for PPC has been mentioned before, perhaps by the time you have the time to do that, might be around when all support for 12.04 is dropped . . . . It's "hard" to work with a 450 MHz processor these days.
