@Mark: Top posting, without carats . . . because I'm in a hurry . . . . The nice thing about linux is that you can have multiple DE's added to one base install . . . so you don't have to choose just one; you can log out of Xu/xfce and log into lxde . . . or vice versa. There are some DE's that aren't entirely compatible with each other and/or offer overlaps . . . but if space isn't entirely at a premium then xfce & lxde are pretty compatible . . . enjoy.
