I just googled your thought, and found "Core Duo" is 32 bit, "Core 2 Duo" is 64 bit . . . so depending upon that data is where that decision lies. It's possible that a "mac specific" file might be needed, on my 09 MBPro C2D processor I can use "amd64" . . . but, what is needed is to indeed see the "EFI boot" image when booting up using the alt key--select that one for the install. Other question is, what machine and OS are you using to burn the DVD, as DU isn't "friendly" to ".iso" . . . whereas Brasero or some linux based system has no problem. If you are using OSX to burn the DVD it's best to change the .iso to .dmg --then it should burn OK. Other question, basic question, was the file checksum number checked? Generally it has to match or there will be problems along the line. F
