Thanks for a thorough reply . . . still looking at this as a
"somewhere on your end" problem . . . as I not only have been checking
on Discourse from a few different machines on my home ISP . . . while
other Discourse forums work without issue, as mentioned before . . . .
But I also have checked from two different workplace networks . . .
with same result.  So, only way to look at it, the entire Los Angeles
area networking systems do not provide access to Lubuntu Discourse???
Possibly . . . .

But the "use a VPN, unless you already are, then don't use it" seems a
bit . . . unfocused???

Certainly it is understood that "this is all for free" . . . but, the
contribution that could be offered to help or get help by
readers/users of Lubuntu are thus stymied when Discourse is
consistently "404 erroring" or lost in cyberspace/time of blinking 4
dots . . . .  We must be moving on . . . .
