Hi Boss, I do not want to steal Steve's (Yorvik) praise for doggedly progressing this, and I am sure he will write up a full account. But to quickly answer the main question I had for cd based documentation.....
Can a lubuntu manual be in pdf foramt and will it retain 'clickable links' > within the document? -- *YES* As such, I no longer see a need for us to divert resources between manual & mallard. I have cancelled mallard for lubuntu (it was there as the fall back). To give an idea of disk space needed, the last manual from ubuntu was 8.2 Mb That is just the english version, the languages that it is available in are listed at http://ubuntu-manual.org/downloads We would obviously have to make our own translations for lubuntu pages / chapters etc. So, how much room would be available? I'm hopeful the image can squeeze in ~ 8.2Mb English version, but how many other languages can / should we aim to add? Regards, Phill. -- https://wiki.ubuntu.com/phillw
