Now, I moved to another projects, I couldn't find time for that but since I have promised to help, I thought to start first on Ubuntu GNOME's Page and then show you the difference of what I had in mind. If the 'new' layout is okay for you, I can do the same with Lubuntu's Page. The New one is much easier for everyone with less words.
