I made these changes a while ago. They conflicted with some changes that Dmitry made recently, but I think I resolved all the conflicts correctly. So, Dmitry in particular, do these look correct?
I haven't yet had any feedback about this. I've been maintaining these changes in a private fork for a few months (for Nutch). I want to commit them, as I'll be away from Lucene work for a week or two, and am tired of maintaining them in a separate fork.
So unless someone speaks up soon, I'll commit these changes today.
