Thank Digy. I think it's comforting news.

Hi Everyone -
We've been working with George to port 2.3.1 from Java to .NET. We're
using the same method that George has done in the past, namely to run a
conversion using the Microsoft tool to convert from Java to C#, then
make any manual fixes necessary to get everything to compile. Once
we're done with that George will check everything into SVN for the
community to download and contribute fixes. Our plan is to make this
the last port that is done in such a way, that future ports will be done
on a file by file basis so that we are able to keep up with the changes
being made in the Java trunk.

We are also working to get additional committers on the project so that
it no longer relies on any one person.

Unfortunately I don't have a date for when it will get checked in to SVN
at this time.

Michael

Thanks Digy. Just to confirm your response. Does this mean there are currently no more support for lucene.net?

But 2.1 is mature enough and I use it for months without any problem.

I notice that there is a 2.1 source code, but the web site http://incubator.apache.org/lucene.net/ does not mention it in the
News
section. There is however documentation on 2.1

Is the News section outdated, or are we looking at some form of beta release for 2.1?
