I have no particularly strong view on this, but this feels like a
semantic change with low benefit.  Is the hope that people well
acquainted with MVC will be able to grasp things better?

Like Nick, I feel that "Binding" is clearer than "View".  And if
anything, I'd be happier shortening to Clownfish::Foo rather than
going to Clownfish::CFC::Foo::Bar.

I've never been a fan of extending the  MVC metaphor to non-obvious
cases, but perhaps I just haven't yet seen the light.  But I won't
object if others feel it is of benefit.
