Personally, I fell out of love with SuSEFirewall after SuSE 6.4. Writing your
own rules or running a firewall that allowed you the same has always been
easier for me.
A very cool IPTables firewall out there is Arno's IPTables Firewall:

Highly recommend it if you are starting out with writing your own IPTables
firewall rules.
