Well, at the end of the day, that machine will need some kind of connectivity
to the Internet so the local mirror information can be updated from the
primary repository.

Three options exist:

a) Co-lo the box at the exchange running at 100Mbps FastEthernet at the
exchange; then provide some form of external connectivity back to the ISP so
the box has Internet access. This will mean the box will be owned/managed by
the ISP, or someone in partnership with said ISP.

        or

b) Keep the box running at the ISP, run high-speed connectivity to the
exchange (Gig-E, Fibre, LRE, Ethernet, e.t.c.) to the exchange.

        or

c) Co-lo the box at a designated co-lo facility in town, and run a high-speed
connection back to the exchange and the responsible ISP.

One can easily weigh the multiple advantages of either, and decide which
solution to deploy.
