Spent the X-mas day of 1998 reconstructing the /etc of a Slackware server
for which the admin had "rm -rf *" while he was at the / and by the time
he Ctrl + C'ed, /etc had vanished.

This box was a dial-out box so we didnt have the luxury of massive
bandwidth to simply get all sorts of config files from the net. It was
really ugly but by the time it clocked 6 pm, the system was back to
stability and we sloped down to Wandegeya for a then well deserved pint.

PS: The slackware software was on floppies (about 20 or so). One had to
fiddle thru all of them before knowing where to get what. Damn !!! Life is
2 short.
