Well, it would make sense that if the vendors are creating proprietary software for Windows, they can do the same for UNIX. Why the local banks don't deploy it, is a whole other issue (licensing for UNIX OS as all UG banks I know run commercial UNIX, TCO, troubleshooting, training, maintenance, e.t.c.).
