I've heard that 2.6.9 will natively support WCCP. For all those interested in 
(transparent) caching technologies, kernel support for WCCP will solve a lot 
of scalable caching implementation problems that have plagued Linux (and 
Squid).

Let's hope the vendors fine-tune it enough not to break it :).
