Kiggs, On the same site, i found the following interesting article:
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/execmail/ Apparently, most research has established that for large enterprises, Windows beats linux by far in terms of: - TCO (windows better by 25%) - deployment costs, - Robustness and Security (More bugs are found in Linux than windoze) - Acquisition costs (apparently, RHEL and SLES, etc.. more expensive than windows server?) - bug-reporting: M$ releases fixes to bugs much faster linux ... Also, it is alleged that many large firms realised massive savings in transiting from Linux to Microsoft Windoze :-) etc etc.. interesting article ernest. _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/
