Interphase� Corporation (NASDAQ:INPH) has released details of the company's first product in a new line of AdvancedMC mezzanine modules for Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (AdvancedTCA) platforms. The new Interphase SlotOptimizer 364G AMC Quad-Port Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is targeted for use in converging next-generation PSTN networks and wireless applications.
Interphase Corporation's key development partner, Continuous Computing� Corporation will have the Interphase 364G Quad-port Gigabit Ethernet AdvancedMC product on display in the PICMG Pavilion, Booth #657, at the CTIA Wireless 2005 Conference in New Orleans, La. from March 14-16.
Target applications for the SlotOptimizer 364G include both telecom and general-purpose computing environments. Designed for use in applications requiring multiple high-performance Ethernet ports, such as media gateways, media servers, softswitches, signaling gateways, Gateway GPRS Support Nodes (GGSNs), Radio Network Controllers (RNCs), and Base Station Controllers (BSCs), the SlotOptimizer 364G is PICMG AMC.1 compliant and provides four ports of Gigabit Ethernet front access for ATCA processor blades. Many early generation ATCA processor blades have few or no native faceplate Ethernet ports, making the SlotOptimizer 364G product an excellent solution for those applications requiring direct Ethernet port connectivity to the processor blade.................
