Hi All

Finally Africa now has it's own registry. Following some of the recent
posting this is an example of an initiative driven by individuals to change
the status quo and deliver. Something we need to do allot of back home.

Congs to all those who have worked diligently to achieve this. Another huge
step towards closing the digital divide.

[apologies for cross-posting]

Greetings All,

A few moments ago, the ICANN Board just approved a motion officially
recognising AfriNIC as the 5th Regional Internet Registry.

Congratulations to all those who have worked to bring this project to
fruition.

Cheers,
