right! I actually run postfix on my laptop. I have found exim to be most useful when I am doing large scale setups, or where I need very customized setups because it is highly configurable unlike postfix where you're limited to the directives that can be put in main.cf unless you want to get into the headache of editing master.cf However lets not start an MTA war. I know someone here ( this being AfNOG/Afrinic) who runs sendmail and has it setup to open an ssh tunnel to his machine at home, and then use the machine at home as a smart relay host all from inside the sendmail.cf file ( scary huh?) -- Noah. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "coffee does not make you nervous. your own inadequacies do that. coffee merely increases your perception of your own inadequacies." --Rob Austein _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/
