You can setup an account with Google Groups to monitor these news groups. Google bought up usenet sometime and provides this service now. Alternatively, there are a number of free news servers in .uk and .de that you can use to access alt.xxx.xxx http://groups.google.co.ug/groups?hl=en&lr=&group=alt
