Hello guys, I know very well that this is a Linux list but I am in

problems popping her mail (no other MAC user has the same problem)
so she brought her machine to one of the members in my department.

moment he got a brain wave and decided to remove the account, in
the hope that recreating it would solve the problem. It didn't.
Worse still all the mails that were in the old account(2 years
worth of mail) have disappeared. We are at a loss on how to
proceed. Any ideas please? The machine is still on and has not been
rebooted.
man, after googling through for similar situations like yours, it
seems it might be a difficult task to recover your email.

I did not know this was an issue with Mac...
