Required Qualifications 

�       An Honours Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology 
or any
Bachelor of Science Degree with Computer Science as one of the subjects studied
from a recognized University/Institution.
�       Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification or certification is 
an
added advantage.


Skills and Abilities

�       Skills in use of Graphic software, HTML, XML, PHP, Style sheets, MYSQL, 
APACHE
etc,
�       Knowledge and skills in web programming and Intranet Technologies such 
as
Linux Open Exchange.
�       Skills in applications development under Linux platform.

Working Experience 

�       The applicant should have a minimum of two (2) years working experience 
in
design and development of websites, content management and web programming.

Duties
�       Designs and develops internal and external web pages and applications.
�       Handles day-to-day administration and maintenance of the Parliamentary 
Website
and Intranet.
�       Coordinates and assist the updating of the website and intranet daily.
�       Ensures that the vital pages of the web site are stable and well 
defined.
�       Monitors and corrects bad links and inappropriate postings.
�       Maintains links with other Parliaments and Government sites.
�       Monitors site usage and make improvements.
�       Oversees all technical aspects of the Website and Intranet.

�       Initiates and develops software development standards. 
�       Analyzes the needs of users for purposes of developing/modifying of 
software
systems.
�       Evaluates existing information systems and procedures.
�       Tests and implements new systems.
