Technical Solutions Engineer (Product Specialist Engineer) - Asia Pacific This position is based in the Asia Pacific region. Do you want to make the rest of the Internet a better place? We are seeking engineers who can make Google's technology available to millions of users via our partner network of sites. Technical Solutions Engineers in the Product Specialist group work with our engineering teams to launch new products and enhance existing products with a focus on functionality that addresses the needs of Google's partners. Technical Solutions Engineers also help partners resolve complex technical issues, managing the escalation of those issues as a part of our mission to provide superior service to our partners. Requirements: Minimum of a BA/BS Computer Science or related technical degree (MSCS). 5+ years industry experience in Internet software development. Complex coding in C/C++ or Java. Scripting in _javascript_, PHP, Python. In-depth knowledge of HTML, XML/XSLT, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP. Hands-on experience in UNIX or GNU/Linux system administration and shell scripting. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated multi-tasking ability. Strong analytical skills. Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed, and organized. Must be able to learn quickly and get the job done in a high visibility, high stress situation.
