Seems to be all very straight forward and seems things we can do with
Dia. Dia is also available for windows http://dia-
installer.sourceforge.net/.
There we have another good opportunity to grab new FOSS users!!
Btw Kivio is rather a lousy tool

Sure it can export to other formats.
Only trouble is that folks I share these files with only send them
to me as .vsd files and its a pain to keep requesting them to
resend in pdf or whatever.
Then of course I can't edit them if in another format.
What type of Diagrams/Work are using it for ?
A drawing tool for creating business and technical drawings (like
network diagrams mostly, in my case).
