Yeah of course, of course ....

Just some few remarks:
=> Good to remind sometimes that Ubuntu is made out of Debian.
=> The last Debian stable release (Etch) is easy to install and come with
meta package like "server", "desktop" ...
=> Debian includes all that your mother in law needs and much more
=> When you say free OS, I guess you also mean free as ... a speech (and not
only as a beer)  :-)
